ABL is a member-based business improvement organisation. The ABL website has up-to-date information and advice on issues relating such as employment laws, business investment, policy development and trade.

Area Consultative Committees (ACCs)
The ACCs  bring together key business, regional and community representatives to identify priorities and opportunities for employment and regional growth. ACCs identify and facilitate projects for funding under the Regional Partnerships Programme.

Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
The ‘For Businesses’ area contains information and online services relating to large, medium and small businesses.

AusIndustry
AusIndustry is the Commonwealth Government's principal agency for delivering information, programs and services that support industry, research and innovation.

Australian Business Register (ABR)
The Australian Business Register (ABR) Online is a publicly available, online database that contains some of the information that is provided by businesses when they register for an Australian Business Number (ABN).

Standards Australia delivers knowledge-based services which improve organisational intelligence and efficiency, and enhance competitive advantage nationally and internationally.

Australian Workplace Agreements (AWA)

Austrade
Austrade is the Australian Trade Commission - the federal government's export and investment facilitation agency. It offers the TradeStart programme for first time exporters, a database of Australian suppliers and a list of current export opportunities.

Patents, Trademarks and Design
IP Australia is the federal government agency that grants rights in patents, trademarks and designs. Its mission is to ensure that Australians benefit from the effective use of intellectual property (IP), particularly through increased innovation, investment and trade. IP Australia incorporates the Patent, Designs and Trade Marks Offices.

R & D Start Programme
The R&D Start program, administered through AusIndustry, is available to Australian companies and is a merit-based program designed to assist Australian industry to undertake research and development (R&D) and commercialisation through a range of grants and loans.

Regional Partnerships Programme
The Regional Partnerships Programme is the new funding programme from the Department of Transport and Regional Services. From July 1, 2003 it replaces all other DoTARS programmes other than Sustainable Regions. It gives priority to communities of less than 5,000, and focuses on projects that create economic growth and improve access to services.
